Tax office is taxing

So I have my tax forms ready to post, and I thought I would look at doing it online, just for the experience. So I go to the tax office web site and there is a nice bit that says “Self Assessment Online; Register and enrol in time to do it online”. I follow the link and get:

Microsoft VBScript runtime error '800a0046'

Permission denied

/control/SAPortalController.asp, line 35

Computer says no!. Useless.

    Actually I’ve found it pretty easy to use for the last couple of years and it works in all browsers I’ve thrown at it (including on the Mac). There are a few annoying parts but at least it does all the calculations for you and you can generally go backwards and forwards modifying details as necessary and login in and out repeatedly until your forms complete.
