Squeak! Rodents ahoy on tube. Borrowers next.

So I have been tubing more than usual this week, but gee I guess I didn’t expect to have a tiny revelation because of it. The tube is full of tiny furry things. Well mice to be precise. Cute lil’ ones, possibly some variety of door mice.

So I first saw them on Monday, then again on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday! As soon as you realise they exist then they appear as if by magic. Then it occurred to me. If something as simple as mice appear as if by magic, when they are actually hidden by some mental wall, why not borrowers. It seems to me that Mary Norton may in fact have just been assumptious than the rest of us. Little people, why the hell not?
