I can not believe I ran across this post. I was doing a training last night, and someone kept coming up with great ideas over the last 4 weeks. Just never did anything with them. Nothing not even step 1. Getting my frustration... Okay

Last night I pulled this same methodology out. I just wasn't witty enough to tell her ZimBabween dollars. Now why didn't I see this yesterday

You are so right. You can talk all day, its about building stuff that makes the difference.

Ideas without any implementation is actually useless. A person cannot be successful in everything he does without putting to action the knowledge and ideas learned.

Ideas are easy; taking action is hard (but often rewarding).

But this is ultimately a simplistic view of the real world.

In the "real world", there are plenty of organizations that are capable of taking action as soon as a good idea appears. For example: the old Bell Labs was great at coming up with ideas, and AT&T was ready, willing, and able to jump right in and turn those ideas into something tangible -- and add massive value along the way.

So yeah... for an individual, ideas are nothing without action. But if you're part of an organization that has the wherewithall to harness creative people and turn their ideas into reality, then look out!

I couldn’t agree more, ideas are precious but it won’t work by itself. It needs some great plan and appropriate action to hit the market. It all start with an abstract thought then must be transform into a tangible outcome to see its real value. We can only realize how valuable an idea once it generated cash and some positive feedback for the company or to anything else.
