Fantastically Hack-tastic; Self-healing web implementation
Recently Yahoo! had an internal hack day. Hack days are a great way to allow the many talented people who I work with to build some amazing things. While I can’t talk about most of the stuff going on, I can talk about our implementation of self-healing web won the best of show award.
I want to thank the most excellent Big Stu who stayed up a gruelling 36 hours with me to get our hack finished. Without him this never would have happened.
Christo Lacy-Hulbert, Darren Foreman and Ed Eliot for their help. You guys made a big difference.
This is a new thing for me because I’m not really sure how much I can say. However we are going to be using significant parts of self-healing healing concept soon. When I’ve clarified what is acceptable I’ll describe what I think is a really easy way to start using the concept in your organisation.
In lieu of any actual content here are some self-obsessive photos of me with my prize, although the wife did make me take the second one. “Tom getting his prize” by Christian and “Tom Hughes-Croucher” by Rosemarie (my wife).
