Do you know how good you have it?

While washing my out of season spinach, with a continuos supply of warmed (so as to not chafe my hands) running water, it occurred to me that we are decadent in every aspect of our lives. Our decadence, our simple convenience is now so ubiquitous we don’t realise how good we actually have it, and what effect it has.

If you want to know what effect your convenience really has try reading Tree Hugger for a week. Think of the coal, gas and oil burned for your electricity, the garbage heaps created by your use of endless packaged good and carrier bags, and the fuel used transporting tomatoes from Senegal in January!

This isn’t me whinge, I intend to practice what I preach, take a little hint from my realisation and look at your own life.
